Growth, international expansion, hiring: sovereign vendor Voltn enters a new phase in 2026
In 2026, NetExplorer became Voltn.
Press release, January 2026. Voltn (formerly NetExplorer), a Toulouse-based sovereign software vendor specialising in secure file sharing and document management, is entering a new phase of development. Following 15% growth driven by the rising adoption of its solutions, including the launch of Voltn Share, the company is beginning its international rollout and launching a hiring campaign to strengthen its marketing, technical and sales teams. The goal is clear: keep accelerating and reach +25% growth in 2026.
A distinctive model that keeps proving itself
“Voltn started very simply: as a young engineer, I just wanted to share files without resorting to DVDs or USB sticks. So in 2007, I coded my own solution from my student bedroom. In short, a WeTransfer before WeTransfer! I had no business ambitions back then, just the desire to make it work better. I built everything that followed in that same demanding spirit, focused on quality and ease of use,” explains Bertrand Servary, founder of Voltn.
Without raising external funding, and by keeping full control of its technical infrastructure, Voltn has established itself as a benchmark sovereign player, committed to quality, security, software efficiency and complete control over data.
2026: a year defined by international expansion
Building on its track record and its certified technology foundation (SecNumCloud qualification in progress, milestone J1, HDS, ISO 27001, Numérique Responsable label), Voltn is taking a new strategic step: international expansion.
From 2026, the company plans a gradual rollout across four priority European regions: Italy, Germany, Spain & Portugal and Eastern Europe.
The aim is to extend the French sovereign model and offer a credible European alternative for organisations handling sensitive data.
Voltn is forecasting +25% growth in 2026, driven by this international expansion and by a strengthened product offering.
A hiring campaign to support the acceleration
To support this ramp-up, Voltn is launching a hiring campaign for 11 positions across its marketing, technical and sales teams. These new roles will join a team of around thirty people today, and will support the company's innovation, industrialisation and European expansion.
A French alternative to hyperscalers and non-sovereign solutions
